Artist Statement

“Feathers far surpass furs or scales in terms of complexity and efficiency…Extremely light and flexible, yet strong enough to withstand the stress of flight, these unique and marvelously developed components of bird anatomy have enabled birds, above all other creatures on Earth, to conquer the open sky.” (S. This exhibit is a study of one of the smallest, yet strongest structures of our world. A representation of the intricacies of each living thing. A reminder that we can fly.
